In 2007, the Sarah Ferguson Foundation was established in New York to fund programs that aid children and families in dire need.
Since 2005, the Duchess has served as a Global Ambassador for World Children’s Day, an international campaign produced by Ronald McDonald House Charities. In 2004, the Duchess became a spokesman for SOS Children’s Villages, the world’s largest independent, non-political child welfare organization providing stability for abandoned and abused children.

In Britain, the Duchess is a long-standing patron to a number of British charities, including the Teenage Cancer Trust, Tommy’s, the African Caribbean Leukemia Trust, the Motor Neurone Disease Association, the Chemical Dependency Centre, and Carr-Gomm. She also supports The Daisychain Foundation and Springboard for Children. In 1993, the Duchess founded Children in Crisis, based in London, to provide aid to forgotten children around the world. I'm producing a benefit for Ronald McDonald House & it may be good to coordinate around that date... 3. I looked up the date and it is Thursday 20th Novemeber. So I have put that in my diary. Marie Holliday EFT-ADV,MAAMET In my opinion there is so much demand and need for more work to help those in distress that the problem is effectively targeting it with resources in a sustainable way and any Foundation set up to provide resource and support organisation to deliver services to meet this need and to reduce distress is such a neccessary and needful endeanour that it should be supported. 5. I thought it was very good and I liked it very much that you took their daughters because my dad took me to an orfanatto when I was 11 years. Life changes, we started to see the World in a different manner. We see life as it really is not fairy tales. Congratulations! 6.
