Dear Sarah,
I watched the documentary on Orphanages last week and found it heartbreaking. I would very much like to contact the foundation privately regarding adopting from abroad.

My partner and I recently watched the "Tonight" programme and we were shocked and appalled at the condition that the children are being kept. We have worked collectively for 30 years with children and adults with learning disabilities. We would really love to help change their lives, but are unsure which direction to go. We are not financially in a position to take off and work voluntarily to help make the changes. But feel that we have the knowledge and experience to do so. Can you be of any help in this matter?
Thank you

Hello Sarah

I am writing to you, because you deserve a big hug, or at the very least a pat on the back for all your efforts to help those who can't help themselves.

I have just finished reading an article on the German MSN site about your 'secret' visit to the orphanage in Turkey. Good on you!!! The article says that the authorities have inspected the place since your visit and have found nothing wrong - well now, that's strange ;). With a bit of luck no-one will find anything wrong with the conditions any more - because you have been there! Again, good on you! Your work may be controversial, but it gets things done, so I wish you and your team well.
All the best from a member of the Commonwealth (Australian) in Germany.
Alda

Hello- My name is Chris and I am the owner of Poison Ivy. I was told by one of my clients that you recently saw her wearing a piece of jewelry and a luncheon and commented that you liked it. She gave you the piece. It says Woman of power on the front and has green crystals around the edge. I made that piece and have to say that I am flattered by the fact that you liked it so much. We are all Woman of Power- we just have to use it for the good of others- Please free to contact me if you would like these pieces-(or others) made for your children. I would be honored to do so- thank you again- chris Cummins.

Hi Sarah and team,
I have been collecting clothes and toys for the orphanages in Romania, and have 7 boxes to ship, but I am not sure where to send them, and also do not have enough money to pay for the shipping. I have clothes for girls and boys aged 0-3 years and 4-12 years, as well as dolls, cars, colouring activities and soft toys for all ages. please could you let me know if you are able to pick up my donation and ship to romania? or if I can get them to you somehow? Is this something that you can do? i would really like to help. Thanks very much,
Gayle Batty.

I read with interest your struggle with developing your self-esteem and confidence. I have written a short story designed to help develop positive self-esteem and confidence. It has been acclaimed by Jennifer Hawthorne, co-author of Chicken Soup for the Women's Soul and I would like to send it to you for review. Please let me know if you are interested. I look forward to hearing from you. All the best for 2009.

Dear Sarah,

I have just watched your TV programme "Duchess on a Mission" here in Ontario. What a wonderful show and what a natural and down to earth person you are. I am a expat and have been here in Canada for the past 20 years. I go back to England every summer to spend time with my family and over the past few years I have been shocked how many people have a weight issue, everyone use to comment on how much the people of the USA are overweight but it seems to be an issue in the UK now. You have a very down to earth attitude with the people from Hull, but you had a compassionate attitude to them and realised that it wasn't just about eating the wrong things. I have had issues in my life also but because of a healthy outlook and a positive attitude I am at a great place. I have a lot to share with people and have some great idea's if anyone is interested.
